Qualities:
- Resistant to
cracking.
- Work hardens
rapidly to a greater depth than manganese steel.
- Outwears many
hard facing rods in impact conditions.
- Concentrated
surface stresses actually harden the alloy. Weld is super
tough on inside but the more it is subjected to wear the
harder the surface becomes. In other words, the more it is
used, the tougher it becomes.
- Can be used in
all positions and can be cut with oxyacetylene torch.
- Contains
stabilizing elements and special additives that prevent
brittleness.
