The Universal Silver Brazing
Alloy which has been Formulated Especially for the Maintenance
Industry
Now the maintenance
department can stock only one silver solder, replacing several
types necessary when using ordinary silver solders. Magna 66 can
be used for the widest conceivable range of different
applications for the following reasons.
- Will join
dissimilar metals of different coefficient of expansion
because the alloy is super ductile and will shrink or expand
on cooling to fill in the clearance available.
- Has excellent
affinity for steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, monel and
nearly all other metals.
- Has lowest
bonding temperature of any high strength silver solder in
existence. Flows at 620oC
(1150oF).
- Alloy has
ability to flush the flux and oxides out of the joint to
prevent voids and inclusions.
- Specially
refined to eliminate all traces of hydrogen and oxygen
contamination. This prevents "metallic sponge" and brittle
hydrogen diffusion which occurs with ordinary silver solders.
- Has super
capillarity and will penetrate the tightest joints even on
steel or stainless steel.
